Bioluminescence Tour

One of the most magical things you can experience in Bocas del Toro is seeing the glow of Bioluminescence. Bioluminescence is the creation of light through a biological process by living organisms.

In the Caribbean waters of Bocas del Toro, there are literally thousands of micro-organisms that have the ability to glow in the dark producing a one-of-a-kind visual experience…  Every movement in the water produces light! From the swirl of a paddle or the movement of your body inside the water.

We take you on a small boat trip to observe this phenomenon. Our guides know perfectly the best secret spots to admire this amazing scenery.

On most night we see at least 2 different types of bioluminescence and millions of glowing stars.
